Daniel and his 3 Friends-Meshach, Azariah and Abednego 

Day 32, Mar 7th, 2024

Text:   Dan 1(3-17), Dan 3(1-18), Dan 6(3-22)

Introduction:

Today we are studying Daniel and his 3 Friends-Meshach, Azariah and Abednego, Daniel’s life in the royal courts spanned the reign of at least 4 kings as recorded in the Bible- Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, Darius and Cyrus.  We will learn a lot from Daniel’s and his friend’s personality and character as we read through the different Bible passages. We will learn about;

Leadership, Identity, Trust and Focus God just to mention a few.

Life Lessons:

Do not let your circumstances be it good or bad be the determinant of your character. Determine who you are in Christ and remain so regardless of any situation. 

2nd lesson; A stand for God is always a win for the person/s taking the stand and the kingdom of God. Dan 6(25-28)

Lesson3; When you are known for who you are as a child of God do not expect smooth sailing you will have opposition but be rest assured that because you are on the Lord’s side you will always come out a winner. Even as our Lord Jesus assured us in Jn 16(33) 

Life applications: 

First Life Application to consider is do not be afraid to let it be known that you are a child of God wherever you are. Be bold, take your stand. For God has not given us a spirit of fear….2 Tim 1(7)

2nd application; Always be dependent on the Holy Spirit in all you do. Make sure you are following His leading. Rom 8(14).

3rd Application; if you know your God-Get ready to do exploits for God just as Daniel and his 3 friends. Rm 8(19)

Lesson of the Day:

In conclusion let it be known to every child of God that our Father neither sleeps nor slumbers He is always on the matter of His children. Ps 121(3-4)Where ever you find yourself know as a certainty that you are not alone God is always with you in His might.2Kgs 6(17)
