Your Potential-1

Memory Verse: …  ” Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. – Ephesians 3:20. (NLT).

Text: Matthew 13:3-9

Spiritual Emphasis: Potential is how far you can go, not alone, but with God. We are all called to do amazing things for God. Hence our full potential includes everything that God has planned for our lives. Let’s not limit God but surrender our wills to him and let Him do in and through us whatever He has planned for us to do.

      Fulfilling Your God Giving Potential

  • Always Agree with God – You are truly worth more than this entire planet. See yourself the way God sees you. Your identity and who you are is from God. Maybe you may not have been planned by your parents, but God planned for you because you are highly valuable to God – 1 Peter 1:18-19; Jeremaih 1:5; Jeremaih 29:11.
  • Do not limit God – God is all knowing (omniscience), all-powerful (omnipotence), and supremely good (omnibenevolence). So don’t ever limit your heavenly Father or doubt His power -Psalm 78:41-42; Matthew 19:26; Psalm 139:1-12; Genesis 18:14; Job 42:1-2; Psalm 100:5.

Questions/Activities: Are there distractions that may keep me from fulfilling my full potential? Please let discuss and share.

Conclusion. The potential for every human being is great. Jesus wants you to live a highly productive life. He wants you to produce ‘a crop – hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown’. The minimum is thirty-times multiplication. The key to that lies in your relationship with Jesus – a relationship that can be as close as that of a brother or sister or mother. You can live a life of real purpose that will make a difference to the world, because of what you receive from Him. Note, your potential is not about being driven by ambition or success; it is about recognizing who you are in Christ. As you seek Him and live your life according to His purpose, you will bear much fruit.

Shalom!
