Who We Are

In Christ Chapel, we believe every individual has a potential which is intrinsically linked with his or her destiny and that the full purpose of everyone is to live a life pleasing to God and also achieve a fulfilled life here on earth. We do not believe an individual’s past has finality on the future; hence Christ Chapel is a place where an individual is offered opportunity to be what God designed him or her to be.

Christ Chapel started fellowship on Sunday February 22 2004 at 10.00am in Barnaby Manor Elementary School Oxon Hill Maryland with thirty-two people in attendance. Since then Christ Chapel is continuing to grow into a dynamic Christian community of professionals and a multi-cultural disposition. The essence of love, belongingness and oneness is favorably promoted in Christ Chapel.

We strongly believe that the word of God is the standard of life for everyone and when practically applied to life, it bears profiting reward. Each week, dynamic and inspiring sermons are delivered by our Pastors to enhance a fulfilling and spiritually stable life. Christ Chapel is one of the branches of Redeemed Christian Church of God of which Pastor EA Adeboye is the General Overseer.

Statement of Faith

In the Divine inspiration of the bible as the infallible and authoritative Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 12:6

The Divine Trinity consists of three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Matthew 3:16-17, Hebrews 9:14

The Deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, teachings, crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, and coming return to this earth in power and glory to rule. Revelation 1:13-16, Matthew 17:15-17, John 1:1-14

That Man was created in the image of God before whom he walked in innocence, holiness and purity, but by voluntary disobedience and transgression, he fell to the depths of sin. Therefore, the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the finished work at Calvary. Genesis 1:26-31, Psalm 51:5, Hebrews 9:28, Acts 3:19

That Perfection is a spiritual growth for those who have been sanctified and consecrated unto God. 1 Peter 2:21-22, Matthew 5:48

In the Baptism of the Holy Ghost for all believers who are living sanctified lives and that it is evidenced by the speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterances. Joel 2:28, Luke 3:16

In Water Baptism by immersion as Jesus commanded and was also Himself baptized. Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38-41

That Divine Healing of sickness for all believers is provided through the atonement as sickness is a direct consequence of the fall of man. Mark 16: 17-18 , Luke 13:11-16

In Restitution where stolen goods are returned to their rightful owners or where an equivalent is given for loss or damage. Luke 19:8-10

In the Lord’s Supper, practiced to remember His death until He returns. Luke 22:14-19, Acts 2:42, 46

The second coming of Jesus and the Rapture of the church (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) and that tribulation (Revelation 3:10) will occur between Christ’s second coming for His bride, and His return in Judgment. We also believe in the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ on earth, (Revelation 20:1-15) and the Great white throne judgment (Revelation 20: 11-15) as the final judgment when all the wicked will stand before God. Lastly, we believe that the new heaven and new earth will replace the current heaven and earth and also believe in eternal heaven and eternal hell as literal places of final destiny. Revelation 21:1-5, Revelation 19:7
