Spiritual Emphasis: Christian practices like Bible study, prayer and community fellowship are Biblically promised to foster spiritual growth, deep joy, and wisdom, while equipping believers for good works.

      Benefits of Christian Community Fellowship

  • Fellowship Gives Us a Picture of God: Each of us has been given specific spiritual gifts. When we come together in fellowship, each of us together shows all of God’s grace – Romans 12:4-6.
  • Fellowship Makes Us Stronger: No matter where we are in our faith, fellowship provides us with strength. Being around other believers gives us the chance to learn and grow in our faith – Matt. 18:19-20.
  • Fellowship Provides Encouragement: Spending time with other believers can often lift us up during our low moments. It helps us to keep our eyes on God – Heb. 10:24-25; Col. 3:12-17.
  • Fellowship Reminds Us We’re Not Alone: Fellowship allows us to build lasting relationships, so we are reminded, we are never alone – 1 Cor. 12:21; 25-27; Jos. 1:9; Matt. 28:16-20.
  • Fellowship Helps Us Grow: Coming together is a great way for each of us to grow in our faith. This we do by reading the Bible and praying together – 1 Cor. 14:26; Heb. 10:25; prov. 27:17; Jos. 1:8.

Question: How do we foster growth and unity in the Church?

Conclusion: Being a Christian is more about practice than belief. For us to grow spiritually, Christian practices are essential. It is important to note that for us to experience the full benefits of these practices, these elements must form the foundation of our Christian practices – it must be regular, and it must be intentional. Then and only then, we will be able to establish, develop, and nourish our personal relationship with God, and be transformed by Him.
