Memory Verse: And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Rom. 12:2- (NKJV).
Bible Text: Ephesians 1:15-23.
Spiritual Emphasis: Dominion is about knowing who you are in Christ and understanding that in you, through HIM is the power to lay hold onto the promises of God and possess them until the day of Christ.
Principles of D. O. M. I. N. I. O. N outlined:
- D = Discover Your Source of Power – We have to understand the exceeding great power we have through Jesus Christ. Jesus took the dominion from satan and turned and gave the keys to the church. The power and source of your dominion comes directly from your relationship with Jesus Christ. It comes through Jesus Christ – 2 Cor. 5:17; Phil. 4:13; Psalm 121:2; Gen. 1: 26-28.
- O = Obtain knowledge on The Effective use of Your Weapons –Just as the conflict is spiritual, so our weapons are spiritual also: We have prayer and we have the sword of the spirit mix with faith – 2 Cor.10: 3-6; Hosea 4: 6; Psalm 1:2; Jos. 1:8; James 5:16; Eph. 6:10-20; Rom. 10:17; John 15:7
- M = Maintain Your Relationship with The Body of Christ –The body of Christ has a divine relationship with Jesus Christ – Col. 1:18; Heb. 10:23-25; James 5:13-16.
- I = Identify Your Enemy – How can you win a battle if you don’t know who you are fighting – 1 Peter 5:8; John 10:10; Col. 2:15
QUESTION: What do we need to do as children of God not to be conform to the pattern of this world and therein have dominion?
Conclusion:
Moving from glory to glory is about taking charge and walking in dominion as was God’s original plan for man – Gen. 1:26-28; Psalm 8:5-6. His plan has not changed. Thank God through Jesus Christ we can still actualized His original plan. Walking in dominion goes beyond lip service; it is more about taking your stand as a child of God, it is being able to grasp what you can do in Christ Jesus. Shalom!
