Benefits of Christian Practices 17

Memory Verse: …  “The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you’. Philippians 4:9 (AMP).

Text: Matthew 5:3-12

Spiritual Emphasis: Christian practices are any regular and intentional activities that establish, develop, and nourish our personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Being a Christian is more about practice than belief. For us to grow spiritually, Christian practices are essential. It is important to note that for us to experience the full benefits of these practices, these elements must form the foundation of our Christian practices – it must be regular, and it must be intentional. Then and only then, we will be able to establish, develop, and nourish our personal relationship with God, and be transformed by Him.

      Benefits of Faithfulness in the life of a Christian – The Faithfulness of Job.

  • Faithfulness is a quality that is often overlooked in today’s fast-paced and constantly changing world. However, it is a quality that is of great importance and value. The Bible places a high value on faithfulness and provides guidance on how to cultivate this quality in our lives. 
  1. Faithfulness brings strength and stability – Job’s faithfulness enabled him to remain strong and stable in the face of adversity. His faithfulness to God gave him strength and stability to endure each trial – Job 17:9
  2. Faithfulness leads to restoration – At the end of Job’s story, God restores to him all that he had lost and blesses him beyond measure. This shows that faithfulness, even in the face of adversity, can lead to restoration and blessings in the end. Job’s faithfulness paved the way for his restoration and serves as a reminder that God is faithful to those who are faithful to Him – Job 42:7-17
  3. Faithfulness brings eternal rewards – Job’s faithfulness was rewarded with eternal rewards. He was promised a place in heaven and an eternity with God – Job 19:25-27.

Conclusion. Faithfulness is a powerful quality that brings peace, comfort, blessings, and prosperity into our lives. It also strengthens our relationships, making them more resilient and trustworthy. Embracing faithfulness in our lives demonstrates our trust in God and our commitment to living out his will for our lives. Faithfulness requires discipline and commitment, but the rewards are great. It brings peace and comfort, opens the door for blessings and prosperity, and strengthens our relationships. Shalom!
