Day 36

Topic: What Jesus Says About Finishing Your Race

Text:  Luke 14: 28-30, Psalms 1: 1-6, Philippians 1:6, 1 Timothy 6: 20-21 NIV VERSION

LIFE LESSONS (3)

  1. Run the race with all your heart.
  2. Lay aside every weight or sin that hinders us.
  3. Run the race with patience, endurance and perseverance knowing that he who has promised is faithful.

LIFE APPLICATIONS (3)

  1. Look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
  2. We cannot apply earthly tactics to run this heavenly race. We have tips in the bible, and the holy spirit is our teacher.
  3. Fellowship with like-minded believers who are running this race, but remember that we remain accountable, to get to the finish line of faith, as individuals, not as a group.

LESSON OF THE DAY:

LUKE 9:62

But Jesus said to him, no one having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

If we put into our Christian race what athletes put into preparing for major competitions, the church will be pulsating with revivals.

May God help us to finish our Christian race strong in Jesus name!
