The Burden of Sin

The Burden of Sin

Day: 28

Text: Proverbs 28

Introduction-

“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to a people.” — Proverbs 14:34

As with a nation, so it is with an individual — sin brings fear, shame, and destruction, while righteousness fosters favor, honor, and blessing. A life of sin comes with several burdens, chief among them: separation from God, guilt, and fear (Psalm 38:4). Yet the grace of God, through Jesus Christ, brings redemption, salvation, and restoration. We must take care not to receive this grace in vain.
