Godly wisdom is divine insight originating from God rather than human intellect, characterized by purity, peace, gentleness, and mercy. Rooted in “the fear of the LORD” (Proverbs 9:10), it prioritizes eternal perspective, godly character, and practical obedience to Scripture over selfish ambition.
This chapter offers a wealth of wisdom and practical advice.
Life Lessons–
1.Divine Guidance: While humans may devise plans, it is ultimately God’s purpose that prevails (Proverbs 16:1-3).
2.Good Character: The chapter emphasizes the importance of integrity and righteousness in one’s character (Proverbs 16:8).
3. The Consequences of Pride: (Proverbs 16:18). The text warns against pride and arrogance, stating that pride goes before fall/destruction.
