Proverbs 5

Day: Five

Introduction

Text:  PROVERBS 5: 1-23.

 Time: 7PM EST

 Introduction

A Life of immorality might seem inviting and seem like fun, but it is a path filled with traps and destined for destruction and death. On the other hand, holding unto God’s principles lead to eternal life. Divine wisdom is required to continue to rebuke immorality at every phase of our lives.

 Life Lessons

  1. Immorality is misleading, appears interesting and attractive, but only leads to destruction and death.
  2. There has to be an INTENTIONAL separation from the snares of immorality and deception. Do not go near it.
  3. Divine wisdom is required to overcome the urge to be drawn into fleeting enjoyment that only leads to eventual death.

Life applications

  1. All that glitters is not gold. Some opportunities seem smoother than oil or seem to drip honey. If they are not Christ centered, they are hollow, unstable and will lead to destruction of destinies, and also spiritual and physical death.
  2. We must learn that NO is a complete sentence when it comes to the sin of Immorality! Stay away from it. Do not test the waters with the intention of turning back at some point. Do not think that you have the willpower to withstand the temptation. JUST SAY NO!
  1. There are consequences for the stand we take in the journey of life. The path of immorality leads to destruction and death, while the Godly path leads to a peaceful and everlasting life with God.

Divine wisdom is required to pursue righteousness and rebuke immorality; God sees every heart.
