Walking in Dominion 2

Memory Verse: And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God – Rom. 12:2 (NKJV)

Bible Text: Ephesians 1:15-23.

Spiritual Emphasis: Dominion is about knowing who you are in Christ and understanding that in you, through HIM is the power to lay hold onto the promises of God and possess them until the day of Christ.

Key Principles to walking in Dominion:

  • Living in the Spirit: Walking in dominion requires a life guided by the Holy Spirit, yielding to His promptings, and resisting the desires of the flesh – Gal. 5:16-26.
  • Obedience to God’s Word: Obedience to God’s word is the key to all blessings. God’s Word is a powerful weapon for exercising dominion, and it’s essential to experiencing His blessings and power – Isaiah 1:19-20; 1 Sam. 15:22; Jos. 1:8; John 14:15, 21.
  • Know who your true enemy is: Understanding the tactic of the enemy (Satan) and his strategies is crucial for effectively resisting him and taking your place of authority – Eph. 6:10-12; Matt. 4:4; John 10:10; Rom. 12:2.
  • Spiritual Warfare: Dominion often involves engaging in spiritual warfare, using prayer, the Word of God, and faith to overcome spiritual opposition – 2 Cor. 10:4-6; Daniel 6:10; 1 Thess. 5:17.
  • Faith and Declarations: Speaking God’s Word with faith activates His power and brings about desired results – Ps. 139:14; Phil. 4:13; Psalm 23; Num. 13:26-33; Prov. 23:7; 1 John 4:4; 1 Samuel 17:45; Matt. 9:21.
  • QUESTION: As children of God, what do we need to do to begin to activate our faith?

Conclusion:

Moving from glory to glory is about taking charge and walking in dominion as was God’s original plan for man – Gen. 1:26-28; Psalm 8:5-6. His plan has not changed. Thank God through Jesus Christ we can still actualized His original plan. Walking in dominion goes beyond lip service; it is more about taking your stand as a child of God, it is being able to grasp what you can do in Christ Jesus.  Shalom!
