Memory Verse: …” The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. –Prov. 11:30 (NKJV).
Text: Romans 10:13-15
Spiritual Emphasis: As a child of God, you must be passionate about soul-winning; it must burn in your heart to take the Gospel to the lost. You’re the custodian of the Gospel. It’s therefore your divine responsibility to publish it around the world. When you understand that Jesus is the only way, you’ll stand up for the Gospel. This is the principle behind the E1B1 project. God expects us to bring souls to the Lord (John 1:40-42). Be blessed as we learn and find our most important purpose for living.
Our Marching Orders
- Our marching orders are found in the Savior’s words in Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; which means that every Christian is to constantly be on the job of winning the lost to the Savior.
- Jesus is the UNIVERSAL Savior; that is, He is the Savior of all men – John 1:29; 3:16; 10:9 and 16; Romans 10:12-13. He is the Savior whom everyone, everywhere, needs – look up – Acts 16:30-31. He is the ONLY Savior; that is, there is none other -Isaiah 45:22; John 14:6; Acts 4:12. He is the PERFECT Savior; that is, no case is too hard for Him – Hebrews 7:25.
Question/Activity: What does the “Great Commission” (Matthew 28:16-20) mean to you as a Child of God.
Conclusion: Be prepared for the Lord to use you where you are. It may be at home, at school, in business, in hospital, or while you are traveling. Be willing to be just a link in the chain of God’s purposes. It is rarely that God uses one instrument in the salvation of a soul. In most cases He uses many instruments. Be willing to do your share by prayer, or conversation or gentle persuasion. Always remember that you are only an instrument in His hands and that you cannot win a soul, but that He can do the work of winning others through you. This great work is His work (1 Corinthians 3: 7-9).
Shalom!
