Memory Verse: “And just as it is appointed and destined for all men to die once and after this (comes certain) judgement” – Hebrews 9:27 (AMP).
Text: Matthew 25:31-46.
Spiritual Emphasis: Everything we do on earth will require an accountability with God. The emphasis is on looking for ways we can help others around us with the gifts, talents, and resources God has blessed us with, and so doing, honor God.

- Every human being will be required to be accountable for the free will God gave him or her. Rom.14:12-13; Matt.12:35-37.
- It is to demonstrate that God is a fair and just God. Psalms. 9:8; Deuteronomy 32:4; 2 Chronicles 19:7.
- It is the appointed time for God to give out rewards and recompenses. 2 Corinthians 5:9-10; Revelation 22:12-13.
- It is to fulfill all the promises God had made through Jesus. John 3:18-19, Romans 8:1.
Question: In your own opinion, will God judge those who know nothing about God and Jesus?
- The Two Major Judgements of God and Christ.
- The Judgment Seat of Christ – 1 Peter 4:17; John 5:22- 23
- This is basically the judgement of all true believers of God through Christ. The judge is Jesus – 1 Corinthians 4:4-5; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Matthew 5:12; Revelation 22:12; 2 Timothy 4:7-8
- The Great White Throne Judgment: Rev. 20:11-15.
- This is the judgment of all dead people that ever lived on earth, both spiritually and physically dead, whose names cannot be found in the Book of The Lamb. The judge will also be Jesus Christ – 2 Timothy 4:1-2; Acts 10:42.
Question: What are the rewards you look forward to when you appear before the Judgment seat of Christ? Explain how you plan to earn these rewards.
Conclusion
Our Lord Jesus counsel to us is we should watch and pray. No one knows the hour the Lord might return. Let us shun careless, self-righteous and procrastination as we wait for His return. May He count and finds us faithful and worthy when He returns in Jesus’ name Amen!
