Day 12
What does Jesus say about Following Him daily involves?
Text: Matt. 16:24-27.
INTRODUCTION:
The Bible passage talks greatly on the cost of following Jesus and how the walk with Him involves sacrifices and commitment. Although it requires us to put aside our own wants and needs, it also promises us that we would find fulfillment and we would also be rewarded.
John 12:26 – Jesus is telling us in this scripture that if we are to follow Him, we have to let aside all worldly things and be willing to go the extra mile for our faith, and that His Father will honor anyone who serves Him.
Mat 16: 26 -People are willing to go the extra mile for material possessions for things that would eventually pass away instead of focusing on the main goal of Eternity with God.
Following Jesus is a deliberate choice that requires obedience, sacrifice, commitment, faith and self-denial.

- Distractions would come but we need to put our eyes on Jesus. Matthew 14, when Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he walked on water, but when he got distracted by the waves, he took his eyes off Jesus, and he began to sink.
