What Jesus says about False Prophets

What Jesus says about False Prophets
Day 2

Text: Matthew 15:32, Ephesians. 4:32

Text: MATTHEW 7: 15-18. NIV VERSION

LIFE LESSONS

  1. False Prophets are amongst us, so we must test every spirit.
  2. False prophets speak from their own minds but mislead people claiming that God instructed them. They will surely face the wrath of God.
  3. False prophets are like ravenous wolves in sheep clothing. Beware!

LIFE APPLICATIONS

  1. Grapes cannot be found in thornbushes, nor can figs be found in thistles.  We need to make sure the message from every prophet is in line with God’s word.
  2. The source of every message concerning our lives should be from God alone. Let us remain mindful of false divinations and lies that can lead people astray.
  3. False prophets usually have selfish motives like financial gain, quest for power, telling people lies to gain favor etc., so we need to match up what every prophet does and says with God’s word. If it does not line up, please flea, do not get deceived. God is not an author of confusion and never changes.

LESSON OF THE DAY:

Jesus clearly tells us to remain prayerful and vigilant. God should be our only source of inspiration and guidance daily. Let us seek the help of The Holy Spirit to discern every prophesy/message. There are false prophets parading amongst us claiming to be called by God but are truly ravenous wolves in sheep clothing. Test every spirit.

BY THEIR FRUITS, YOU SHALL KNOW THEM.
